Our Story:

CherCo commits to providing comprehensive compression services and maintenance and operational support for both company owned and customer-owned equipment, overseeing both in-field and shop overhauls, and specializing in the servicing of swing engines across the entire range of Caterpillar and Waukesha product lines. Our dedicated team ensures the longevity and optimal performance of these assets through meticulous care and expertise, ensuring that clients experience seamless operations and extended equipment lifespan.

FAQs

How often should I service my compressor?
Dependent on the horsepower, oil types, and capacities. Standard is 45 to 90 days for preventative maintenances.

When should I overhaul or replace?
Dependent on the preventative maintenances. Standard overhauls should be scheduled at 3-5 years. A replacement should never be needed.
What are daily/weekly checks?
Checking gas, oil, and lubrication pressures, oil and water levels, and assuring shutdown levels are set correctly and have not been moved. Do walk-around visual inspections of all components.

How do you handle troubleshooting?
Firstly, do a visual inspection of the unit. Then, check vibrations or noise levels from one of the components related to the ignition and controls in order to  confirm if you do have power where required.
How would I prevent failure of the equipment?
By assuring all shutdowns are set correctly and the loading of the compressor is within the parameters of ratios and volumetric efficiencies. Verify that the oil and water is at the appropriate levels on the unit.
